Kelly Roso
Ph.D. Student
Kelly Roso is a doctoral student and Teaching Assistant of Italian. She is interested in the traditions of the Sienese Palio, feminism of all waves, Distant Reading, and the works of Umberto Eco and David Foster Wallace.
Kelly earned her B.A. in Languages specializing in Italian and German from the University of California, Riverside in 2011, followed by an M.A. in Italian Literature at UCLA in 2013, with a focus on Italian crime fiction, oril giallo. She also holds an M.A. from La Sorbonne (Paris) in General and Comparative Literature, where she completed her thesis project as a contributing member of an international research team directed by Françoise Lavocat (Sorbonne) and in coordination with Franco Moretti (Stanford) within the emerging field of the Digital Humanities.
Off campus, Kelly loves snowboarding, sewing and zombie movies.
