Laure Murat’s latest book, “Proust, roman familial” exceptionally well-received in France

The department of European Languages and Transcultural Studies is pleased to announce that Prof. Laure Murat’s latest book, Proust, roman familial [Proust and me: A Family Romance] (Robert Laffont, 2023) has been exceptionally well-received in France. The numerous press reviews are unanimous, from Le Monde to Le Figaro, L’Obs, Télérama, Le Point, Elle, L’Humanité, Le Canard enchaîné, etc. Prof. Murat appeared in several renowned media programs including the radio show France-Culture and the television show La Grande Librairie. The oldest and most popular weekly radio show in France, Le Masque et la Plume (1,600,000 listeners), known to be highly selective, made Proust, roman familial its favorite book of the “rentrée littéraire,” a special time of the year when new books are released in France.
