City Living: Reimagining Urban Ecologies

The UCLA Center for the Study of Global France would like to invite you to City Living: Reimagining Urban Ecologies, the first Albertine Conversation on the West coast. Organized with the Villa Albertine, the Center for European and Russian Studies, and the Luskin School  Affairs, the event will take place on Tuesday October 13, 2026 from 6:00PM-8:00PM in Royce Hall 306

Moderated by author and journalist Frances Anderton, this conversation will explore how cities can respond to the environmental, social, and urban challenges of the twenty-first century. Aminata Niakaté, Deputy Mayor of Paris in charge of green development and the protection of biodiversity, Éric Daniel-Lacombe, award-winning architect, urbanist, and geographer, and Kian Goh, Assistant Professor of Urban Planning at UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs will examine innovative approaches to urban design, sustainability, resilience, and the future of city life.
