Learning Objectives
Students completing an ELTS language-focused program will be able to:
- Develop advanced proficiency in the target language and use it effectively in academic and cultural contexts.
- Analyze literature, film, media, and other cultural forms using appropriate critical and interpretive approaches.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the histories, cultures, and societies associated with the language and its broader cultural contexts.
- Understand language and culture from a transcultural perspective, including connections across national, linguistic, and disciplinary boundaries.
- Conduct research and engage critically with primary and secondary sources using appropriate methods and scholarly conventions.
- Communicate ideas effectively through written, oral, and other forms of academic or creative work.
