Yiddish

Yiddish has been taught at UCLA for well over 30 years and we also offer Yiddish 10, a course focused on modern Yiddish culture as reflected in cinema and literature. Students have an opportunity to develop language skills that include reading and writing, fundamental grammar, and conversational skills, and subsequently to deepen and broaden their exploration of the language and the culture to which it gave rise.
