This book asks: How can computational tools from the digital humanities expand how we see, read, and listen to Holocaust testimonies? To answer this question, Presner proposes an “ethics of the algorithm” to mediate between the ethical demands of listening to individual testimonies and the interpretative possibilities unleashed by large-scale, computational approaches.
