Annick Cojean in Conversation at UCLA

The UCLA Center for the Study of Global France was honored to welcome Annick Cojean, grand reporter at the French newspaper Le Monde, for a special conversation with students and faculty.

Moderated by Professor Lia Brozgal, the discussion took place before an engaged audience of approximately 40 attendees. Ms. Cojean reflected on her distinguished career in journalism, sharing insights into her reporting practice as well as her collaborations with major figures of French public life, including Gisèle Halimi and Simone Veil. She also discussed the afterlives of her journalistic work, notably its adaptation into graphic novels and theatrical productions.

The event concluded with a lively Q&A session, during which UCLA students had the opportunity to interact directly with Ms. Cojean and engage with questions about journalism, and storytelling.

The Center warmly thanks Annick Cojean for her generosity and for sharing her experience with the UCLA community.
