Anna Bonazzi is a Ph.D. candidate in the German section of UCLA’s ELTS Department. Her dissertation work focuses on the oral history of migrants and refugees in Germany from the 1940s to the present based on the computational analysis of digital interview archives.
Her research interests include contemporary media and culture primarily in the German speaking areas; memory studies; issues of migration and multilingualism; and digital humanities (text analysis, visualization, corpus linguistics). She speaks English, Italian, German, and French, has a basic knowledge of Spanish, Yiddish and Tamil, and has a reading knowledge of Greek and Latin. Apart from that, Anna loves baking, hiking, knitting, and random language facts.
