This course is designed as a cultural history seminar on Paris, providing a historical and geographical overview of the French capital, from the Middle Ages to nowadays. Following the chronological order of the urban formation, we will try to understand how literature and visual arts analyze poetically and politically a city that has always been the foremost attraction in Europe.
