I started studying German because of its large business opportunities. I study economics and German economy is fascinating because it has been through a lot of changes, hyperinflation, expansions and depressions, and still today is one of the strongest economies in the world.
German classes not only teach the language, but also the German history and culture which is very rich and interesting. The German classes that I was taking helped me understand historical changes and how the society we live in today came to be. There is more to learn from taking German classes than the language. I was able to better understood the way people made decisions in the past and this can teach us and help us make future decision and avoid failures.
Learning a new language, any language, is a great thing, but studying German language and culture is a great advantage one can get for succeeding in the globalized world we live in today.
